Creation and Evolution Controversy

The scientific community, society and even many churches have accepted that the earth is billions of years old and evolution by natural selection and chance have brought about the world that we know today. Where is the evidence for this conclusion? What does the Bible actually say? Let's start a respectful conversation.

About Me

My photo
shrewdsnake
Jesus told his disciples: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." (Matt 10:16) My goal in this blog is to help Christians be ready to give a reason for what they believe and confidence in the Bible. And as for my non-believing friends, I hope that I can weave in what truly can set you free. I can't arm wrestle you into the kingdom with clever methods and logic. However, I can tell you about Jesus and pray that he helps open your eyes through what others or I say. God gave us intelligently designed brains for a reason! The point of this blog is to initiate conversation by expressing what I have learned in regards to: the creation/evolution debate, end-time prophecy, defending our Christian faith, and how to live for Christ in today's society. I believe in the complete inerrancy of the Bible, that it is God-breathed, is trans-cultural and trans-generational. Man's interpretation of the Bible like anything else (including scientific data) can be biased, incomplete or just plain wrong. I hope to avoid as much of that as I can, sticking to proper hermeneutics and labeling my personal opinions and speculations as such.
